It is every organization’s responsibility to put the necessary measures in place to protect the privacy of their data. In this article, we will look at how Vendere Group’s cloud solutions meet data security norms and some of the things businesses and users can do to keep their information safe.
Keeping your information safe and secure is paramount. Every day, businesses process and store thousands of pieces of information from their customers — and it is crucial that this information not end up in the wrong hands. Which is why we have embraced Microsoft’s cloud solution and the state-of-the-art security features that come with it. Plus, our clients’ data is stored on Microsoft servers that are physically located in Canada and adhere to stringent PIPEDA requirements on data privacy and protection.
Microsoft Azure is the most advanced and secure cloud computing platform currently available in the market. The Microsoft ecosystem is known for going the extra mile when it comes to delivering services that combine ease of use, functionality and reliability.
Benefits include:
The ability to instantly retrieve files from any device
Direct offline access to your documents
The possibility of retaining full ownership of your data
Decentralized data storage for an extra layer of protection
Enhanced security and privacy features
Standardization of data security conditions and systems
Greater transparency and more control over your data
“There’s this misconception about the cloud, that it’s not as safe as having a physical server on site. In actual fact, the cloud is far safer than anything on-prem infrastructure can offer. Data centres have to meet rigorous industry data protection standards, so they’re hands-down the best and least risky of all your available options.”
Mathieu Gentilcore, R&D Manager, Vendere Group
Microsoft invests over $1 billion in security R&D every year to safeguard its infrastructure.

Data security and control are our top priority at Vendere Group
We develop our products using the PowerApps platform, thereby leveraging the advanced encryption features of Microsoft 365 to guard against unauthorized data access. They incorporate several independently operating layers into the structure to ensure uninterrupted protection even in the event of a breach in one of the layers. And each of the encryption keys managed by Microsoft boasts the highest security standards.
When you use Vendere Group products and services, you can rest easy knowing that the highest standards of data security and control are working hard for you. But there are also certain things you can do as a user to complement these practices:
Make your passwords as strong as possible: A strong password contains at least 8 characters. It shouldn’t refer to any easily obtainable personal information or be linked to your username in any way. For a laugh, check out this video from comedian Michael McIntyre.
Add security info to your Microsoft account: This can help you recover a hacked account in the event you lose your password. .
Say yes to two-factor authentication: With two-factor authentication, you will be alerted via text message of any new attempts to sign in to your account. Your OK is required before the sign in can be completed.
Never share your passwords with anyone.
Beware of suspicious emails, phishing, ransomware attacks and other attempts to steal your private information.
Keeping our clients’ information and data safe is a responsibility that neither we nor Microsoft take lightly. Any passwords used to protect our clients’ data are stored using specialized encryption tools. But ultimately, data security starts and ends with you, which is why we strongly recommend you embrace two-factor authentication at every level of your organization. Users also play a key role in maintaining data privacy and preventing unauthorized access. It is important they remain aware of and alert to online threats and act accordingly. The rule of thumb: Never open an email or click on a link you’re not sure about.
